2018 Summer Camp: June 11 – August 14

Come visit us at our May Open Houses. UPDATED…Birch State Park Open House has been changed to Friday, June 1st.  5:30 – 7:30 pm, Banyan pavilion.

We’ve just added field trip and guest speaker information.  Please check back soon to see what other FUN we’re adding this year!

We offer a unique opportunity for children to unwind and disconnect for the busy world. We encourage old fashion fun with friends and allow them to experience the wonder and joy of curiosity while discovering South Florida’s beautiful, natural environment.

 

 

Environmental Day Camp

Camp Live Oak located in Ft. Lauderdale, offers a broad environmental curriculum, with activities centered around that theme. Swimming, science, canoeing & kayaking, arts and crafts, sports, surfing, fishing, paddle boarding and archery occur every week, with different activities rotating on various days.

Field trips, on-site adventures, and guest speakers are scheduled to give your child an extremely well rounded camp experience.

Marine Science Day Camp

If marine science is what your camper if looking for, check out our Science of the Sea program at Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park in Dania Beach. This program delves into the world of marine science, conservation, in depth sea turtle curriculum and interactions, and netting in Whiskey creek. Campers also will participant in camp activities such as fishing, sports, arts and crafts, paddle boarding, and swimming! Field trips, on-site adventures, and guest speakers are scheduled to give your child a well rounded experience.

Our most popular optional programs

Bubble Makers Scuba Camp: This program offers scuba diving and snorkel trip! Camp Live Oak’s Bubble Makers program is an introduction to the world of scuba diving for campers ages 8 and up. This three day, half day program is available each session this summer. The instructors from Sea Experience will teach your camper the basic skills of scuba diving in a pool setting with maximum depths of 8 ft. They will end the week with an adventure snorkel trip. Trail Biking Program: Our biking program has now been integrated into our main camp program! All campers, ages 10 to 13 will explore the hidden trails of the park on mountain bikes. We provide the bikes, helmets, and safety gear. Campers will learn basic bike maintenance and safety, along with the Principals of Leave No Trace.View More

Aquanaut Scuba Diving Camp: Held in Ft. Lauderdale, this exciting program for campers ages 10 and up will participate in a 35 hour diving certification course taught by certified PADI instructors from our partners at Sea Experience Dive Shop. Both Basic and Advanced Open Water Certification classes are available. View More
