Considered our most popular camp week, Ocean Quest is devoted to exploring the deep blue seas and learning about different marine life. Campers will enjoy many fun activities including water density experiments and even how to set-up your own fresh and salt water fish tank. This week campers will also create their own silk screen shirt! Campers can bring your mask and snorkel and explore the wonderful underwater world at both parks.
In addition to all the great activities campers will be doing at the camp, there are a few options for additional field trip options during Ocean Quest week:
Campers ages 5-8 will be going to Miami Seaquarium located in Miami, FL on August 12 or 13. Campers will spend the day attending fun and interactive whale and seal shows and get a chance to see a variety of sea life found throughout the world. Campers should bring a bagged lunch along with extra snacks and drinks in a disposable paper bag. Water and Gatorade will be provided as well. For this trip there will be a normal drop off and pick up time and normal pick-up procedures should be followed. For an additional fee, campers aged 5-13 will have the option of attending a Dolphin Swim Encounter(details below) at the Miami Seaquarium on August 12 & 13. THE DOLPHIN ENCOUNTER OPTION IS NOW FULL, HOWEVER THERE IS STILL SPACE AVAILABLE FOR CAMPERS TO ATTEND CAMP AND VISIT MIAMI SEAQUARIUM.
Cost for campers ages 5-8 not including Dolphin Encounter: $275.00 (includes a full week of camp and all the activities, field trip, transportation, and snacks)
Campers ages 9-13 will visit John Pennekemp National Park (details below) on a day snorkeling trip, located in Key Largo Florida. Dinner, snacks, and drinks will be provided throughout the day and campers should bring a bagged lunch along with extra snacks and drinks. For this trip there will be a normal drop off time and buses will return to their respective sites around 7:30 (Miami) 8:00 (Ft. Lauderdale). Normal pick-up procedures should be followed due to safety reasons.
Cost: $325 (includes a full week of camp and all the activities, field trip, transportation, dinner and snacks)
Older campers previously had the option of visiting Miami Seaquairum for a Dolphin Encounter, however the Dolphin Encounter is now full. Campers ages 5-8 will still visit Miami Seaquarium as part of their Ocean Quest Week. Campers ages 9-13 will visit John Pennekamp State Park for a snorkeling adventure.

Campers ages 5-13 can participate in this fun filled shallow water program and learn from the aquariums marine mammal training staff about these wonderful gentle creatures of the sea!
Campers will go through a 15 minute educational classroom presentation prior to entering the water and then hop into the water with the dolphins for a 30 minute session that will include touching, feeding, and playing with the dolphin.
A wetsuit and towel are provided for use during the session, but campers must come in their bathing suits. For this trip, there will be a normal drop off and pick-up time and normal pick-up procedures should be followed. There is a 28 maximum limit for this trip. This trip is sure to be a memorable experience!
John Pennekamp Park Snorkeling Adventure
Located in Key Largo, FL, John Pennekamp National Park is a true treasure of Florida. The Park offers access to the reefs of the Florida Keys, which are one of the most uniquely beautiful and accessible wild areas in the country. The Florida Keys Reef is the only living coral barrier reef in North America, and is the 3rd largest coral barrier reef in the world! Campers will see many fish and marine species that call the reef home as they adventure out in the dive boat with experienced leaders. Masks and snorkels are provided to the campers, but they need to bring a towel, bathing suit.
