Alexander Barth is returning as our Science Teacher. This will be Alexandra’s third year with Camp Live Oak. She is originally from Maryland where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Spanish from Salisbury University. Currently, she is a graduate student in Nova Southeastern University’s Marine Science Master’s Program. She is part of NSU’s shark tagging crew, and works as an Instructor at an environmental educational program called Build-A-Field Trip. She has worked as a coral husbandry intern, research assistant in an avian neuroscience laboratory, and as a chief research scientist for a shark and stingray research and conservation organization. She has a passion for marine/shark conservation spending time outdoors. She is also a PADI Certified Advanced Open Water Diver and a Certified Lifeguard/First Air/CPR/AED provider. She looks forward to a fun, adventure-filled and educational summer ahead!
