Alexander Barth is the Science Teacher. This will be Alexandra’s first year with Camp Live Oak. She is originally from Maryland where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Spanish from Salisbury University. Currently, she is a graduate student in Nova Southeastern University’s Marine Science Master’s Program. She is part of NSU’s shark tagging crew, and works as an Instructor at an environmental educational program called Build-A-Field Trip. She has worked as a coral husbandry intern, research assistant in an avian neuroscience laboratory, and as a chief research scientist for a shark and stingray research and conservation organization. She has a passion for marine/shark conservation spending time outdoors. She is also a PADI Certified Advanced Open Water Diver and a Certified Lifeguard/First Air/CPR/AED provider. She looks forward to a fun, adventure-filled and educational summer ahead!
