We are committed to preserving the natural environment by educating our campers about the natural world around them. Camp Live Oak provides a unique environmental opportunity in which children can experience the wonder and joy of curiosity, discovery, and the fascination that South Florida’s diverse ecosystem generously provides. International Applicants

Although we encourage international applicants, it is important to note that we do not have on or off site sleeping quarters to house international staff. Many times, applicants will have prior living arrangements set up or acquaintances which they can live with during their time at camp.

We are here to serve campers through the provision of recreational education, leadership, supervision and programs. We pledge to be responsive to the needs and changing attitudes of our community. We pledge to remain flexible in providing a program with a wide range of recreational opportunities that are physically wholesome, mentally stimulating and satisfying and socially sound.

Positions Available

We are currently hiring for all positions for our Ft. Lauderdale, Dania, and N.Miami sites. Please select which position and camp season you would like to apply to on your application. Please see job descriptions below.

Season Session Dates

Spring: April 10 – 21
Summer: June 12 – August 18

On Site Directors (Dania and N. Miami)(8:00 – 4:00 PM Monday – Friday. $13.00 – $14.00/hr)

Requirements: Certified Teacher with BA in Education, Outdoor Education, or Physical Education with at least two years of camp management experience. He/she must be highly organized, energetic, able to multi-task, prioritize, initiate and collaborate, and have excellent verbal communication skills. Must be enthusiastic about the outdoors and promoting respect of the environment. Must be able to manage a summer budget and maintain accurate financial records.

Preferred CPR/First Aid Certified

Minimum age of 21

Must be able to work full days (8:00am – 4:00pm) Full Spring, summer session, and an occasional weekend.

Must be able to assist with Staff Training in May

Art Teachers (Birch/Dania, N. Miami)(Min of 25 hrs/wk Monday – Friday. $14.00p/hr)

Requirements: MUST have experience TEACHING art to children, certified Art teacher K-12 preferred. Sample of previous works a plus. This position requires a upbeat, energetic individual who has a passion for creating art! He/she must be able to develop, coordinate, and implement age appropriate projects for children ages 5 -13. Must be comfortable working in an challenging outdoor setting during hot and humid summer months

Must be able to work entire summer camp season

Must be able to organize and maintain art supply inventory and budget invoices.

Reliable transportation a MUST
