Keeping Moving During the Cooler Months

It’s time to get moving now that fall has arrived. Fall camp, camping trips, outdoor movie evenings, game nights, and other activities are all available this season. While it may be tempting to stay inside throughout the week and cocoon yourself in front of the television, this can be detrimental to a child’s physical health. Keeping youngsters moving during the cooler months will keep them active. Here are some activities that kids can do this fall to stay active.

Scavenger Hunt

A scavenger hunt is the best way to get kids moving. These games are an excellent way to get youngsters up and active. Scavenger hunts can last anywhere from 30 minutes to many hours, depending on how many clues there are. If the hints are more difficult, it may take the kids long to figure them out. Nevertheless, they allow kids to practice critical thinking while also getting some healthy exercise in as well.

Nature Hike

A hike can do wonders for your child’s attitude and well-being, even if it takes some persuasion and maybe even a little bribery. Getting outside and immersing yourself in nature can also help you relieve stress, unplug from news overload, and enjoy time with your children. You don’t have to travel far to watch nature and trees: if you can get to a nearby city park, forest, beach, botanical garden, or waterfront, take a walk along a trail and view nature and trees.

Playing Fall Themed Games

The crisp autumn air encourages us to spend time outside. What better way to pass the time than by playing autumn-themed games? It is the ideal opportunity to try something new. Kids are always up for an adventure and are eager to experience something new. Hosting a fall game series for friends and family, on the other hand, will be a fun-filled time for your kids. They will never be bored with the range of games available.

Swimming

This is a great fall activity that will keep kids moving during the fall. Going to the pool is a great way to get the kids moving while the parents relax. A local pool is a great opportunity for youngsters to get some exercise while having fun. There are numerous pool activities that children will like, and they may keep themselves occupied for hours.

Mountain Biking

Mountain Biking is an adrenaline-pumping activity that allows youngsters to explore a variety of trails and terrains while learning all about riding from Camp Live Oaks certified instructors. As they learn how to check tire pressure, change a flat, and maintain chains and other equipment, children acquire confidence and understanding. Campers are outfitted with mountain bikes, helmets, and protective gear after they’ve been prepped, and they ride trails ranging from beginner to expert.

Jumping Into a Pile of Leaves

This is the most famous of all the fall activities for kids! Rake up a big pile of dry, crunchy leaves (remove all the sticks and twigs first), then have your child(ren) run and jump into it! Once inside, encourage children to hurl handfuls of leaves into the air, and get your camera ready because leaf activities don’t get much more exciting or picturesque than this!

Camp Live Oak

Let your kids indulge in a week away at camp. Camp provides a fun and educational experience for your children. It is a great chance for kids to branch out and try new activities while meeting new friends. This has been the first camp ever that my son didn’t complain about going in the morning, but he did tell me about the friends he made and the things he did. We love this camp!
