On November 1, 2025, Camp Live Oak hosted a truly special evening at the Lenore Ryan Nolan Cooking School—Cooking With Ken: From Sicily With Love. This intimate, hands-on event brought together friends, supporters, and food enthusiasts to cook, connect, and contribute to a greater mission: helping more children experience the joys of camp through our Scholarship Fund.
With only 25 spots available, the event quickly sold out, and guests were treated to a guided culinary adventure, crafting a delicious four-course Sicilian-inspired meal under the warm, expert instruction of Ken himself. Laughter filled the kitchen as participants chopped, sautéed, stirred, and plated their way through the evening, sharing stories and making memories along the way.
More than just a night of cooking, this fundraiser highlighted the power of community and the shared belief in Camp Live Oak’s mission to provide outdoor learning, adventure, and personal growth opportunities for all children. Every dish prepared and every ticket purchased went directly toward making camp accessible to more families.
