Environmental Day Camp

2020 Session Dates for Birch State Park, Ft. Lauderdale. Please click on the links below for detailed information.  Weekly and session rates are available!

Camp Live Oak located in Ft. Lauderdale offers a broad environmental curriculum, with activities centered around unique environmental themes each week. Swimming, science, canoeing & kayaking, arts and crafts, sports, surfing, fishing, paddle boarding and archery occur every week, with different activities rotating on various days. Field trips, on-site adventures, and guest speakers are scheduled to give your child an extremely well rounded camp experience.

Session 1:  June 8 – 26
Session Two: June 29 – July 17
Ocean Quest: July 20 – 24

Medusa’s of the Sea – Jellyfish, Octopuses, and Man-a- War’s

Marine Science Day Camp

Due to COVID-19, we will not be running summer camp at the Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park in Dania Beach.  All Marine Science curriculum will be implemented into our camp at Birch State park in Ft. Lauderdale.  Please click on here for the complete information on the COVID-19 camp update.

This program delves into the world of marine science, conservation, in depth sea turtle curriculum and interactions, and netting in Whiskey creek. Campers also will participate in camp activities such as fishing, sports, arts and crafts, paddle boarding, and swimming! Field trips, on-site adventures, and guest speakers are scheduled to give your child a well rounded experience.

Our most popular Optional Programs

Trail Biking Program: Our biking program has now been integrated into our main camp program! All campers, ages 9 to 13 will explore the hidden trails of the park on mountain bikes. We provide the bikes, helmets, and safety gear. Campers will learn basic bike maintenance and safety, along with the Principals of Leave No Trace.View More

Starlight Sleepover:  This popular sleepover is the highlight of the summer!  Campers will enjoy a night hike, games, smore’s and a campfire, then retreat to your air conditioned cabins for one night.  View More

Other available Programs

Aquanaut Scuba Diving Camp: This program is offered by Sea Experience.  This exciting program is for campers ages 10 and up and is a 35 hour diving certification course taught by certified PADI instructors. Both Basic and Advanced Open Water Certification classes are available. View More

Salty Anglers Fishing Camp now for 7 year olds and up!

Due to COVID-19 the Salty Angler’s Fishing program has been relocated to Birch State Park in Ft. Lauderdale.  This program will only be offered June 29 – July 17.  Please visit our information page on COVID-19 for details.  

We are happy to announce that our Salty Angler’s program is now open to campers 7 years old and up!  Available at the Mizell – Johnson State Park in Dania Beach. Please see the link for more information!

Welcome to the So. Florida’s premier Fishing camp for children ages 7 to 13! Our mission is to create a program for youth with in interest and passion in fishing. Your young angler will receive hands-on, experiential lessons that will teach them new techniques in fishing, sportsmanship, and environmental conservation. Campers also will participate in camp activities such as sports, arts and crafts, paddle boarding, and swimming! Twice weekly fishing field trips adventures are a part of this AWESOME program!
